a mighty little eagle

this is our son peter with his 1st eagles jumper,he is 4yrs old here and thi was the year that the eagles joined the big league.his number was 3 (chris mainwaring) .peter was always playing some type of sport ,the trouble was he was too young,but that didn't stop him from trying.when we moved out to muchea he tried to get into little athletics basketball he even wanted to play cricket,but he had to wait until he was a bit older(he was 5 at the time).Peter never gave up ,he drove everybody mad.so when he was 6 he joined the cricket team playing for muchea under 10's.can you beleive it.I think he just drove them to insanity and for a bit of peace they let him play.Bob helped out with umpiring,and one paticular game we went to Bindoon to play.I only wished i had acamera back then because the site of the next batter up was really something to see.Picture this(look at the photo)this kid is 6yrs old not much bigger than this photo,he's padded up,got the bat in hand,but nobody could see who it was.all they could see were two pads and a cricket bat walking out to bat.it was so funny and cute,all the big girls thought he was lovely.and beleive it or not he made some runs,not sure how many i was too busy killing myself with laughter,he was also not out as well.And that was the start of his sporting days,he went on to play junior footy for wanneroo,whitfords as well as basketball until he developed glandular fever and a knee injury from one of the many screamers he would take forced him to retire early.

the wedding mafia

hello again from wongan,we have had some heavy rain overnight which is badly needed,mind you i'm not sure if the farmers would agree,they can't take a trick at the moment but that's life on the farm.this photo is if you haven't guessed by now is shellys' wedding day,and as you can see she has 'THE FAMILY' taking care of her needs making sure the media don't get too close.it was a lovely day, a little warm but we had some refreshments to keep us cool.the ceromony took place at subiaco oval,the same day the eagles started their training,you will see by the photos to follow who was there.Apparently this is the 1st time in subi oval history that a wedding has been performed there,it even made channel 7 news,the front page of the west,and 96fm plus other radio stations wanting to find out how it came about.thats easy shelly and glen are keen eagles fans.

these are my three special girls, bob and I couldn't have wished for any better.shelly and kristy are two wonderful daughters,they help us a lot especially when i need help with things like the computer and nothing is too much trouble for them.and the little one the very special one is our special ANGEL Alisha to us she is one of a kind,this was a big day for her and she was so happy to be part of shelly and glens big day.

it was a day for the rich and famous,but the rich couldn't make it so we went for the famous.Glen Jakovich took time out of his training to have his photo taken with the happy couple.(nice one jaka)

hello to everyone from the country,it's going to be a scorcher of a day today is 39 deg here in wongan town,that pool bob bought will come in very handy i think.

this photo is of my father in law Ross and his brother Len and sister Janet,I have imaged it with another photo. I hope it turned out o k,the other photo is of dad's mum and dad ,Bub and Billie delavale,and their grandchildren.you can see who they are,it's written at the top of the photo. i love this new program i am having fun with it.

wedding day

this is kristy and Ian on their wedding day,the ceromony was held at Ian's parents place in hillarys.it was a beautiful time and the bride looked gorgeous.i have imaged this photo with alisha in it i thought it would be a nice photo to have. 

what a wonder ful life

this is mum and dad and kristy she was 18mths old here,there are two photos here,i am just mucking around to see what i can come up with.the program i used for this is called picasa2 i downloaded it for free with blogger. 

boy has it been hot here in the country,i think it got to 42 here in wongan,but don't worry we have a way to keep cool.this is or new pool,it's not the biggest pool but it is 8'x30'',and it is big enough for us to sit or lay in it,it even came with it's own pump,so when you come to visit us alisha you can have a swim.it was that hot yesterday,that i came home for lunch at 11.30 and went for a swimm just to refresh myself before heading back.some people might think that i shuold be cool working in a supermarket but the air con was working too hard so it wasn't cool,and even our fridges broke down,so there was no meat for customers to buy and boy were they mad,but that's life.

school days

this is a school school photo of bob,i'm not sure of his age here,but i can see where peter gets his looks from(and the ears).i think all kids should be in a proper school uniform.our grandaughter alisha wears one and i think she looks so smart in it,i wore a uniform as well when iwent to school.i know what some of you are thinking,but yes even state schools had them back then.

aloha from wongan hills

hello from wongan,on friday night,bob and i e=went to the local bowling club for an hawaiian night,and guess who was voted the best dressed female,yes you guessed it...... bob(just kidding).

it was me,and the best dressed male was a bob but not mine,it was bob white, bob's boss at the shire.it was a good night we had raffles(we were 1 off as usual) but all in all we enjoyed ourselves.

happy little vegemites

these three little angels are kristy,shelly and peter.they are happy playing on a table which is one of a kind,made by their dad bob. bob was going to go into the furniture buisness but decided he would make stuff just for the family to enjoy,and by the look on their facec i think had the right idea.they got a lot of fun out of this until we needed wood for the fire.it broke their little hearts when they woke up and their table was ash.

shelly's confirmation

this is shelly on her day of confirmation,it took place at the bullsbrook church,and this photo was taken in front of the shrine.this shrine was in the news some time ago,something about the water being a miracle for any ailment and people would come from miles away bring their empty containers and fill up,they went crazy,i'm not sure if it still happens but we believe what we want to especially if it makes us feel good.the other two kids are kristy and peter it was a cool day as you can tell by the waykristy is standing.and yes shelly there is hair under that veil.woooohooo

what a nice photo

this my father in law ross delavale he is nursing our two daughters kristy and shelly they were about 8mths(shelly has blue pj's on) and 2 yrs this was taken at our house in rockingham in 1979/80. check out the good looking grandad now i know where bob and peter get their looks from.do you like the curtains? very 70's don't you think?

our angel

this is our beautiful grandaughter alisha she is the daughter of ian and kristy(our eldest daughter)ferguson.alisha is 10yrs old and will soon turn 11 in febuary,she will be in grade 6 at whitfords catholic primary school next year.her mum tells me she is doing very well at school and last month she competed in the inter school sports carnival where she did very well.bob and i love to have alisha when we can she is such a joy
